A Taliban member, portrayed by Buffalo's own Vincent Gallo, is taken hostage in Afghanistan after being accused of killing three American soldiers.  He is transferred to Europe for interrogation, but manages to escape from his captors and becomes an escaped convict on a continent he does not know.  Audiences are jolted into his frantic attempt to escape recapture and survive in the hostile, arctic wilderness.  The film not only is an examination of man versus nature, but an exploration of the consequences we face in our current political arena.

The film, which won the 2010 Venice Film Festival Grand Special Jury Prize, was directed by Jerzy Skolimowski.  Gallo was also the recipient of the Best Actor award at the 2010 Venice Film Festival for his portrayal of Mohammed in the film.
