Make Believe

Make Believe is a documentary which follows six teenagers on their

quest to perfect their extraordinary skill of magic at the World Magic

Seminar in Las Vegas. Their desire is to be crowned the Teen World

Champion by Master Magician Lance Burton.  The teenagers are dedicated

to their craft, vigorously training and competing. Off stage, the

teenagers endure the obstacles of adolescence and the difficulties of

being an outsider, despite their talent.

The winner of the Best Documentary at the 2010 Los Angeles Film

Festival and Audience Award at the 2010 Austin Film Festival, and

Official Selection at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival,

“Make Believe” balances humor and sensitivity in its storytelling as

viewers come to understand that each magician may be a teenager, but

also holds a dream to be larger than life, to excel at a craft which

lives to stupefy audiences worldwide.
