You ever wonder what it would feel like to kick back on a comfy couch, drink an adult beverage, watch out of the ordinary short films, only to look around knowing no one because you are in a stranger’s house? Welcome to the premise of the Couch Fest Films Festival.

Couch Fest Films was founded by Seattle filmmaker Craig Downing in 2008 with the goal of sharing the love of film and video in an unpretentious environment. Volunteers and hosts are encouraged to create an open and relaxed environment inside houses to allow participants to have the opportunity to interact, share and discover new films with fellow lovers of film.  Host cities have included London, England; Istanbul, Turkey; Cairo, Egypt; Port Au Prince, Haiti, and New York City. The plethora of over 60 short films will make its way to our home in Buffalo at this year’s film festival.  Stories extend from examining the irony of getting old, English lessons leading to love, to the terror of potty time for children through the art of claymation. Hysterically funny and weird short films from all over the world.
